US election 2020: Biden says White House co-operation 'sincere'

It has not been begrudging so far, and I don't expect it to be," he told NBC News in an interview.

He spoke as he unveiled his choice of top officials for when he takes over from Donald Trump in January.

Mr Trump finally agreed to allow the formal transition process to begin on Monday, nearly three weeks after the presidential election.

Yet he still refuses to admit defeat, repeating unsubstantiated claims that the 3 November vote was "rigged".

"It's a slow start but it's starting and there's two months left to go, so I'm feeling good about the ability to be able to get up to speed," he said.

There were, he said, plans for him to meet the Covid-19 task force in the White House about vaccine distribution and access.

Daniil Medvedev explains how winning Nitto ATP Finals affects his career..

Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev was in great spirits after winning the Nitto ATP Finals as he hopes winning the prestigious season-ending event is just a beginning and that he will soon manage to claim a maiden Grand Slam title.

Medvedev, who is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the world, recovered from a set down to beat world No. 3 Dominic Thiem 4-6 7-6 (2) 6-4 in the final at The O2 Arena and earn his maiden Nitto ATP Finals title. "I think it can give me a lot for my future career, I mean, to beat Dominic the way he played today and to manage to beat him is probably my best victory of my life,” Medvedev said, per Tennis Majors.

“Not even talking about the title itself. I mean, to win a Masters, being undefeated, I mean, honestly I know I can play good, but I would not believe it if you would tell me this before the tournament. “So a great boost of confidence for all the slams coming up and all the tournaments.

Medvedev writes history

Russian Nikolay Davydenko won the first Nitto ATP Finals edition staged at The O2 Arena and 12 years later Medvedev also made it all the way in London. From 2021 onward, the Nitto ATP Finals will be staged in Turin.

"I always said before this tournament it’s an amazing story here in London, where the tournament was for [12] years, first champion was Russian and last champion would be Russian. A lot of thanks to Nikolay Davydenko for being an inspiration for many kids by winning here”.

Former world No. 3 Davydenko was commentating Medvedev's Nitto ATP Finals match for a Russian television. Medvedev got the news only after the match and he was thrilled to hear that since Russian tennis legend Davydenko was one of his idols growing up.

"I actually didn’t know, but Nikolay commented on my match on Russian TV,” Medvedev said. “He was a commentator during this match, and then I managed to talk to him just after the match. I was so surprised and so happy because he was one of my idols when I was growing up when I was actually already starting to play tennis not so bad, he was there and he was playing unbelievable”.
